Report on relinquished areas EL 1092 Pine Creek Basin.

Abstract

Title to EL 1092 was granted on 22/12/1976 with an area of 157.8 sq. miles. The EL has been progressively reduced in area to 38.26 sq miles. This report describe exploration over the areas relinquished to date. Information on the area still retained is not included in this report and those portions of plans showing information on currently held areas of the EL have been censored. A location plan of EL 1092 showing reduced area is shown on the locality plan. The first stage of the work consisted of 1:25,000 scale regional mapping of the EL. Colour air photo interpretation was followed by field traverses and gossan sampling. Pyritic carbonaceous shale horizons were considered most prospective for base metals, and their outcrop was outlined prior to soil sampling. Formation outcrop is shown on the soil geochemical plans accompanying this report.
