Abstract: | The Tindall Limestone is being examined for potential use in cement or quick lime manufacture. In the previous year a MC was pegged over part of the most promising part of the area. Further south, a 50 m grid was established and systematically sampled. MgO tended to be excessive in most samples. Drilling was deferred. Instead vehicle traverses were used to search for outcrop and sample as required. None were found that warranted assay. Sinkholes were examined to ascertain stratigraphy. One revealed a two metres thickness of limestone. Scout drilling is proposed. |
