The Tindall Limestone is being examined for potential use in cement or quicklime manufacture. Previous work by the author found the limestone was too high in Mg and Si. Additional vehicle traverses were made to search for outcrops and to collect surface samples. After this, the southern part of the EL was deemed unprospective. Some of the areas in the north, previously sampled, warrant further work, including drilling. A small thin deposit of manganese is exposed in a gravel pit beside the Stuart Highway near the Tipperary turnoff.en_US
