Abstract: | Assays received from the 11 stream sediment and 19 grab rock chip samples were generally low with elevated values for iron and manganese (rock chip maximum 35% Fe and 11.8% Mn). These elevated values were not considered unusual or indicative of an economic deposit. 6 TEM soundings were conducted over Maria Island. It is apparent that conductive layers exist at depth, their sources is yet to be determined. The conductive intervals may represent graphite, sulphides or saline water. |
