Abstract: The higher priority diamond-targeted anomalies within the relinquished area are considered to have been suitably tested. Although some encouraging results were received, these are of a low tenor with regards other target areas within the Altjawarra project and have downgraded the perceived exploration potential of this area in comparison. RAB drilling of the carbonate-hosted manganese anomalies indicates that the Fe/Si/Mn mineralisation in this area are most likely recent supergene deposits laid down by groundwater moving through subvertical fractures, collapse-features, and permeable sub-horizontal country rock units. Zones of cavities and ferruginized, silicified carbonate country rock persist at depth, suggesting an extensive pattern of ground water movement and subsequent dissolution and replacement of the country rock. Many of the present outcrops are likely the result of recent, superficial upgrading of the altered zones and the drilling indicated that there is no persistence of any manganese mineralisation at depth. No further work is proposed by Elkedra Diamonds NL and the entire remaining tenement is relinquished.
