Abstract: | Tanami Gold NL identified the potential for Proterozoic hosted gold mineralisation in the basement rocks of the Napperby area. The Napperby Project currently comprises three Exploration Licences, all granted in the period between 23 December 2002 and 26 March 2003 to Tanami Exploration NL (TENL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tanami Gold NL (TGNL), a publicly listed company. The tenements cover an area of 915 km2. This report describes exploration carried out on all three tenements for the year ending 3 March 2005. The tenements of the Napperby Project lie in Central Australia approximately 200 kilometres northnortheast of Alice Springs. They are situated at the boundary of the Arunta Region and the Southern Georgina Basin and are covered by the Napperby, Mt Peake and Barrow Creek 1 : 250,000 Geological Sheets. Exploration consisted of a regional desk top study and field reconnaissance. |
