Abstract: | This Record presents the results of the mineral isotopic geochronology analyses conducted at the ARC Centre of Excellence in Ore Deposits (CODES) at the University of Tasmania. Zircon and monazite were analysed in 13 (meta-) magmatic and (meta-)sedimentary rock samples from the Aileron Province in order to constrain the timing of magmatism, sedimentation, metamorphism and copper mineralisation. Detrital zircon age populations also provide constraints on the sedimentary provenance. All samples are from rocks that host or are spatially associated with base metal mineralisation in the following deposits: the Pinnacles copper, the Johnnies Reward Cu-Pb-(Ag-Zn) prospect, the Home of Bullion Cu-Ag-Pb-Zn deposit, the Mulbangas copper prospect, and the No 3 Clark copper workings. Information detailed herein comprises the location, lithology, and geologic context of each sample, as well as the chronological interpretations (eg magmatic crystallisation age, maximum deposition age, or metamorphic disturbance age). The sample locations are shown. A summary of sample information and analytical results are listed, with the full analytical results in Appendix 1 and associated imagery in Appendix 2. |
