Abstract: This record presents trace-element and chronologic data collected on monazite at the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence in Ore Deposits (CODES) at the University of Tasmania. Analyses were carried out in March and April of 2016 and May of 2017 in support of Northern Territory Geological Survey (NTGS) regional geoscientific investigations and mapping programs. Isotope data and interpretations for monazite from 18 samples taken from the Aileron and Irindina provinces in HUCKITTA in the Northern Territory are presented herein. Monazite was analysed in order to constrain the timing, duration, and rate of metamorphism in this region, and to constrain the timing of movement and deformation on the Delny and Entire Point shear zones and Jervois Fault Zone.
A total of 18 samples were analysed from two collections: one set of monazite chronologic data was obtained from a total of 14 samples from the Palaeoproterozoic Aileron Province, and another set was obtained from 4 samples of the Yambla Gneiss in the Neoproterozoic-Palaeozoic Irindina Province.
