Abstract: EL 31211 'Newlands Creek' is considered prospective for granite/pegmatite related styles of mineralisation including tungsten and hard rock lithium deposits. Reconnaissance rock chip sampling at the historical Juggler prospect confirmed the presence of significant tungsten mineralisation with results to 1.41% WO3 recorded in samples of the mineralised vein. The outcropping Juggler vein trends northwest, is up to 1 metre wide, and persists for over 50 metres before disappearing beneath colluvial cover to the southeast and soil cover to the northwest. Anomalous tantalum (to 54ppm), niobium (to 100ppm), bismuth (to 262ppm) and molybdenum (to 2340ppm) are also present at Juggler. A trial Field Portable X-Ray Fluorescence (FPXRF) soil geochemical survey in the Juggler area confirmed metal anomalism and the technique has potential as an exploration tool in the area. No anomalous lithium was identified. No lithium is present in the rock chip samples, however significant tungsten mineralisation occurs in an outcropping shear hosted quartz-tourmaline-tungsten-tantalum vein at the Juggler prospect.
