Abstract: Horizon Exploration Ltd conducted a Seismic Survey in 1982 in OP213 and OP214 for Weeks Australia Ltd, to investigate the geology and Petroleum potential of the two permit areas. Seismic Data Processors Ltd were contracted to process the data for this survey. Field geological mapping, supplemented by photo-geological studies, of the Palaeozoic and Proterozoic outcrops in was conducted in each permit to form the basic geological framework of the area. A seismic survey consisting of a total 242.2km of seismic was acquired to determine the regional subsurface setting. The quality of seismic data obtained in OP213 was generally good, while the data from OP214 was very poor. A magnetic survey was also conducted in OP214 to map the structure of the Proterozoic section using magnetic anomalies.
