One Kg was split from the total sample with a jones riffle splitter and this sub-sample was pulverised to 100 Um in a Vertical Spindle Pulveriser [Keegormill]. The sample was then roll mixed on a rubber mat to homogenise, a barren flush was pulverised after each sample. The samples were assayed for Au using a 50 gram fire assay and the Base Metals determined by ICP-OES using our method G300I which is a nitric/Hydrochloric/Perchloric acids digest. The detection limits for the ICP-OES readings using the G300I method are: Cu [1 ppm], Pb [5], Zn [2], Ni [2], Co [2], Ag [1], As [10], Bi [5], Fe [10], Mn [1], S [20], Sb [5] & Cd [1]."
