AB  - Central Petroleum intend to acquire approximately 480km of 2D data over the Zevon East and West leads in permit EP115 of the Amadeus Basin, Northern Territory. Prior to this acquisition, a test line was acquired to ascertain the optimum acquisition parameters for the main acquisition, as well as demonstrating that the new acquisition would add value.
AB  - In November 2023, with the assistance of a Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations Grant awarded by the Northern Territory Government, Central Petroleum engaged Oceania Geo to acquire a 30km seismic test line over the Zevon prospect. While operation constraints limited the length of the main seismic line to 20km, the key aims of the project were not compromised. Those objectives were:
1. To determine the optimum acquisition parameters for future seismic programmes over Zevon.
2. To validate the ability of a new source with lower environmental impact to return data of acceptable and interpretable quality.
3. To confirm the Heavitree reservoir target can be reliably imaged seismically, particularly over the anticlinal crest of the Zevon lead.
