The aim of this geochronological study was to constrain the maximum depositional age and provenances of the sandstones from different stratigraphic units (Bukalara Sandstone, Bessie Creek Sandstone, Moroak Sandstone, Kyalla Formation, upper Velkerri Formation, Lynott Formation, Barney Creek Formation, Wollogorang Formation and Mamadawerre Sandstone) in the McArthur Basin.
