Conducted were elemental, Fe-speciation, source rock and biomarker analyses. AB - To reconstruct the paleoredox conditions during deposition of the BCF 1.6 billion years ago, a detailed iron speciation study was conducted on more than 170 samples across the McArthur Basin. The samples span different stratigraphic horizons across eight drill cores (Warramara 6: 25 samples, Myrtle 5: 11, Myrtle 4: 23, McArthur 5: 19, LV09001: 37, Glyde River 7: 35, Glyde River 10: 2, and Bing Bong 5: 18 samples), forming a north-south transect along the Emu Fault zone.
