All holes sampled were located within the applications held by Thundelarra (or its subsidiary Element 92)in the Ngalia Basin. A total of 254 quarter-core samples (mostly on 1m intervals, taken from holes drilled by AGIP, were analysed by Ultratrace Laboratories in Perth for U, V, Se, Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co & As using mixed acid digest with an ICP finish (Ultratrace Job# u94553. Samples with high U were prepared with a sodium peroxide fusion. The results failed to repeat the anomalism demonstrated by the earlier AGIP sampling in YRD66 (AGIP: 5248 ppm U3O8 from 162.5-163 vs THX: 23.5 ppm U from 162-163, which highlights the highly localised nature of the uranium mineralisation in that hole. The results from Y206RD proved to be closer to the original analyses (AGIP: 1240 ppm U3O8 vs THX: 1076.75 ppm U, both from 197-201, indicating that the mineralisation is probably more disseminated in this hole. Hole Y24RD & Y26RD also showed relatively high-order zinc anomalism (Y26RD: 12m @ 0.11% from 135m & Y24RD: 1m @ 0.287% from 195m. The zinc-anomalous interval in Y24RD was later found to be associated with a chloritic metasediment (very poor recovery)that represents a zone of intense dynamic deformation. Very low order uranium anomalies correlate with the elevated zinc(e.g. Y24RD: 1m @ 12 ppm from 195m. Both the uranium and zinc are probably primary in origin, but were slightly enhanced by the deformation.
