AB  - The 1974 Gardiner Ranges Ground Gravity Survey was carried out by Mandrel Industries Inc. on behalf of Magellan Petroleum Pty Ltd within OP175 and OP178 in the Northern Territory. The purpose of the survey was to obtain gravity control on possible concealed faults along anticlines located in the north-western sector of the Amadeus Basin. Another purpose is to obtain the gravity coverage along seismic lines which present complex interpretative problems, in an area of fault closure prospects. The survey area is located near the Mereenie and Palm Valley fields, which will enable the results of the gravity survey to enhance the prospectivity of the fields and define objectives for further exploration.
AB  - The gravity survey measured a total of 262.6km of gravity readings, comprising of 970 stations.
