Work included gridding, geochemical sampling, geological mapping, RC drilling and geophysical surveys (gravity, magnetics and radiometrics). Work was focused firstly on the prospective areas outlined by previous exploration activities. The best results from infill soil sampling in the central part of the tenement included 2412 ppbAu and 475 ppb Au. These results we associated with NNW-trending quartz vein system. The best gold values from rock chip sampling in the vicinity of the Last Gasp Prospect were 11.7g-t Au, 6.3 g-t Au and 4 g-t Au. Geological reconnaissance mapping was completed over two areas Near Miss and Rosalie Prospects and rock chip samples were collected. Results showed a weak Au anomalous zone along the Rosalie prospect. The best values from rock chip sampling were 0.54 g-t, 0.96 g-t Au and 1.4 g-t Au. A coincident 4.66 percent As was returned with the 0.96 g-t Au results. A Soil sampling program was carried out on the Pine Creek regional grid and rock chip sampling returned disappointing results. A correlation between a shallower depth to granite basement and mineralisation was suggested. A review of the entire geological, geochemical and geophysical datasets encourages further exploration work. T2 - CR2000-0373 UR - https://geoscience.nt.gov.au/gemis/ntgsjspui/handle/1/80934 ER -
