Mesoproterozoic post-tectonic granites of the Southwark Granitic Suite, part of the Arunta Inlier, form the basement to the Ngalia Basin. It crops out approximately 7km north of the project area. Uranium mineralisation of the Ngalia Basin is hosted in piedmont-style sedimentary channels, composed of carbonaceous arkoses located towards the base of the Mount Eclipse Sandstone. The primary source of the uranium is inferred to be the younger granites of the Arunta Inlier. During the years under review, EL 25556 has been explored moderately. It mainly involved collection and limited processing of previous open file data acquired from NT Geological Survey, Darwin. It involved open file historical exploration reports, airborne radiometric and magnetic data and remote sensing imaginary. Work also included recovery of open file digital seismic data from Magellan Petroleum's vaults in Brisbane. This has been transcribed onto modern media with data recovery specialists in Perth. The tapes were then handed over to the NTGS, along with a copy of the recovered data. One seismic line has been surveyed over the license area which has been relinquished.
