AB  - Exploration Licence 9540 (Muriel Range East 3) was granted on the 24th of July 2000, for a period of six years. At the end of the second year of the Exploration Licence it was decided because of escalating tenement costs that the ground be reduced from 5 blocks (16 km2) to 3 blocks (9.6 km2). At the end of the fourth year a further reduction of one block to two blocks occurred, effective 23rd July 2004. The relinquished ground included 11 regional surface samples completed by Otter Gold NL where results were less than 0.2 ppb Au. The surface samples were taken in bulk on a 500 m x 500 m grid using a Robinson Helicopter for access and sieved at a later date. Activities during the tenure of the licence focussed on remote detection of targets using the multiscale edge analysis worm technique. The Licence was also part of the regional structural study completed by 'RSG' for Newmont Exploration.
