The licence was granted to the Central Desert Joint Venture partners (Otter Gold NL (now Otter Gold Pty Ltd) 60% and Acacia Resources Ltd {now Anglogold Australia} 40%) as part of the Legend 2 Agreement (ELs 8077, 9479, 10282, 10283, 10299, 10300, 10355, 10411, 22177 & 22179). AB - The exploration license was subject to a Deed (Legend 2) between the CDJV and the Traditional Owners. At the end of the third year of exploration it was decided to relinquish ground because of escalating tenement costs. The ground was reduced from 14 blocks (44 km2) to 7 blocks (22 km2). The relinquished ground included 15 drillholes drilled on a broad grid (1.5km by 3km). AB - Other activities during the tenure of the licence focussed on remote detection of targets using the multiscale edge analysis worm technique and aeromagnetics. Assessments of the Exploration License were made and the decision was made to partially surrender EL10411 on the 3rd June 2004.
