3rd Annual and Final Report for EL 32087 for the period 18th September 2021 to 16th December 2022

Abstract

This report covers exploration during Year 3 of EL 32087. The area lies entirely on NT Por. 2850, Mt. Kepler Station. The EL was granted on 18th September 2019, and was cancelled on 16th December 2022. The Project Area covers a total of 6.7km2. Access to the area is via the Tortillas Flats/ Ringwood Road, then south on station tracks. The area contains three named gold prospects, Hughes, Bruce, and Scullin, which have received some historical exploration effort. The area was initially identified by WR Grace and Co as the H25 anomaly in regional exploration around the Goodall Mine in the early 1980s. This was followed up by WMC in the mid- 80s, and later by Agricola Gold Limited, then Salisbury Resources Limited in preparation for an unsuccessful IPO in 2009. WMC mapped and did geochemical sampling of the area, while Agricola/ Salisbury recognised the potential for the area for small relatively high-grade gold deposits and did considerable trenching, drilling and additional rock and soil sampling. There are difficulties in compiling this due to use of differing positioning methods over the exploration history of the prospects. During Year 1 of the title, Mr Totten conducted reconnaissance of each prospect in preparation for a more active programme in Year 2. Due to the impact of the Covid 19 Pandemic, this aspiration was not fulfilled. Due to the abundance of uncompiled information in earlier reports, it would be worthwhile to compile this before planning the next stage of field work. It is considered that the prospects have potential to produce of the order of tens of thousands of tonnes of medium to high grade gold ore for shipping to a mill should one be set up in the region, or, if enough ore is located, a gravity plant could be warranted on site.
