Abstract: This EL was to become a potential source of Calcite Marble to be used for the purpose of Acid Mitigation of the Mt. Peake Magnetite tailings. On a brief examination of the access to the EL area it was decided to seek a more accessable area closer to the Mount Peake Project. An area was found to the East of Mount Peake which contains a large resource of Calcrete. EL 31896 has been applied for covering this resource area. This resource also has the advantage of being located alongside of the haul road from the Mt. Peake mine site to the rail line loading site from where the mine concentrate will be sent to Darwin for further processing. This site has the added advantage of cutting off 100kms of haul distance compared to the site of EL 31699. This resulted in surrendering EL 31699 on 1 August, 2018 No exploration was carried out on EL 31699.
