Title: | Westminster Project Second annual report for the period 1 February 2008 to 31 January 2009 MLC 511 |
Title Holder / Company: | Truscott Mining |
Report id: | CR2009-0072 |
Tenure: | MLC511 |
Year: | 2009 |
Author: | Henderson, I |
Abstract: | Exploration carried out on the tenements in the year ended 31 January 2009 included: 1:2000 Geological mapping; rock chip sampling; phase 1 structural diamond core drilling (3 holes for 909.5 m); and phase 2 definition RC and diamond core drilling (3 Diamond holes for 719.6 m and 2 RC holes for 212m). The work has confirmed the potential for MLC 511 to host significant gold and base metal ore grade mineralization. Phase 1 drilling identified an east west trending structural corridor defined by shearing and alteration. The structural corridor hosts a stack of at least three zones that host ironstones that in places have been mined for gold. Phase 2 drilling revealed the presence of easterly plunging mineralized shoots. |
