Abstract: The Roper Bar Project tenements are located about 200 kilometres east of Mataranka in the gulf country of Northern Territory. Five contiguous Exploration Licences (EL 24307, 24665, 24944, 25672, and 26759) form the Roper Bar Project. The Roper Bar Project covers an area of 2176.9 square kilometres. The tenements are located within the proposed Limmen National Park and cover ground prospective for iron ore. ELs 24307, 24665 and 24944 were purchased by WDR Iron Ore P/L (100%) in February 2009. These tenements were owned by Terra Gold Mining P/L or GBS Gold Australia P/L. EL 25672 was acquired by WDR Iron Ore (100%) on 13 November 2008. EL 26759 was acquired by WDR Iron Ore P/L (100%) on 13 November 2008. All of the tenements are part of a JV partnership agreement between WDR Iron Ore P/L (85%) and IMEA Exploration and Development Australia P/L (15%). The Roper Bar project covers an area within the Bauhinia Shelf of the McArthur Basin in north-eastern Northern Territory. The McArthur Basin is an intracratonic platform basin of Palaeo to Mesoproterozoic age with an aerial extent of 180,000 square kilometres. The Roper Bar Project area is located over the Maiwok Subgroup of rocks within the Roper Group sequence on the Bauhinia Shelf of the McArthur Basin. Exploration within the area has concentrated on the Sherwin Ironstone Member of the McMinn Formation within the Maiwok Subgroup. Exploration activities carried out over the reporting period include aerial photography acquisition, reconnaissance mapping and rock chip sampling, a twenty-seven hole Reverse Circulation (RC) and five hole Diamond drilling programme, downhole geophysical survey acquisition, mineralogical and metallurgical work.
