Title: Nature and prospectivity of high-heat-producing granites of the central Aileron Province, Northern Territory
Report id: NTGS Record 2017-004
GIS version: MapInfo, 24/03/2017
Year: 2017
Author: Beyer, EE
Abstract: This report presents the findings of a study into the geology and prospectivity of the high-heat-producing (HHP) Wangala and Ennugan Mountains granites in the Palaeoproterozoic Aileron Province of the Northern Territory, Australia. HHP granites are characterised by enrichment in radiogenic elements K, U and Th. They are common in Australian Proterozoic basement terranes and are thought to be the main contributor to the high surface heat flow characteristic of these regions.
