| Abstract: | Two diamond drill holes drilled in 1982 and relogging of 6 holes confirmed the presence of Pb-Zn-Ag mineralization along a 4 km zone adjacent to the Ochre Mine hills. Severe ground conditions, viz, oxidation and cavities, obscure the stratigraphy and hence the structures, cause expensive drilling problems and would cause mining problems if pay grade mineralization was intersected. Age date samples have been sent to the Bureau of Mineral Resources to aid in stratigraphic interpretation. Field mapping has contributed to the empirical structural interpretation. Mineralization and geophysical anomalies suggest the most prospective ground lies to the north of the Ochre Mine hills. |
